Titanium is needed to repair Moonbase Alpha’s life support system, and so when traces of the rare metal are located on the barren and volcanic planet Psychon an Eagle is sent to investigate. However, the craft is enveloped by a mysterious ball of light and dragged to the surface of the planet. Commander Koenig is contacted by Mentor, a Psychon scientist who offers to return the two crewmembers to him at a rendezvous point in space; however, the meeting is a trap, and Koenig, Doctor Russell, Carter and Picard are forced to land their Eagle on Psychon. They encounter a mine populated with a workforce of mindless zombies, and then come face to face with Mentor and his beautiful, shape-shifting daughter Maya. Koenig learns that the scientist is working on a project to restore his world using a biological computer named Psyche; but the computer is powered by the minds of intelligent beings - and Mentor intends use the Alphans as its newest source of power…
