Botanists Dan Mateo and Laura Adams attempt a strange séance in an attempt to telepathically communicate with their plants, but a strange force sweeps through Moonbase Alpha, and Mateo collapses. After he recovers, an argument ensues when Mateo’s superior, Doctor Warren forbids him from conducting any further experiments; later Warren sees a hideously-scarred ghostly figure that resembles Mateo, and is found dead shortly after. Professor Bergman realises that the base is being haunted by a psychic manifestation - for the death of a man who is still alive…
