Simms learns that his mother has been charged with disturbing the peace at the seaside resort of Southend. He sets off to help her, and discovers a con-trick which involves rigged arcade machines which has targeted a number of old ladies. Following the trail to a nearby theatre, Simms decides to takes a job there, but he then gets into trouble with the management. Georgina tries to rescue him, but reveals rather too much for Adam's liking...
