A spate of practical jokes is disrupting foreign relations, and they turn deadly when a dignitary is electrocuted during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Steed and Mrs. Peel track the culprits down to ‘The Hellfire Club’, an exclusive society who dress-up in 1760s costumes and led by the decadent John Cartney. Steed and Mrs. Peel join the group, and uncover an audacious scheme to kill the Cabinet in an underground explosion, and soon Mrs. Peel finds herself in a new role - as the Queen of Sin!
