The government is interested in using the new supercomputer project named Plato for military missiles; but when Plato is sabotaged, Mrs. Gale is sent in to investigate, using her background to pose as an anthropologist researching dead languages. Steed claims to be headed for the Middle East, but has in fact stayed behind to keep an eye on his partner. Mrs. Gale attempts to find out more by getting to know the project's star mathematician, Doctor Kearns. After more sabotage and another murder, suspicion falls on Doctor Kearns, but when the real saboteur locks both Kearns and Mrs. Gale into the refrigerated section of Plato, it is up to Steed to rescue them and help find the real traitor...
