'Concerto' by Terrance Dicks and Malcolm Hulke

After a young woman is found dead inside the apartment of Stefan Veliko, a visiting Soviet concert pianist, Steed is called in to investigate. Steed follows the clues to a strip club, while Mrs. Gale looks into the British Cultural Council. They discover that the murder is part of a plot to blackmail Veliko into shooting a delegate while at a recital, an act that will destroy the British-Soviet trade talks. Mrs. Gale soon finds herself in a very unpleasant situation involving a gun and a single bullet...
