|'Mission to Montreal'
by Lester Powell
When the stand-in for Carla Berottithe, an adored but neurotically unstable film star, is murdered, the actress leaves her job and takes off on a cruise to Montreal. Doctor King, Steed's new assistant, is assigned as her personal physician, while Steed also goes undercover as a steward. Carla is confronted by her husband, the ship's captain, who puts pressure on her her to hand over a stolen microfilm she is carrying, which contains details of the North American early warning system. King and Steed also attempt to recover the film, but Carla's unstable, pill-popping state, and her secret lover, all combine to hinder their mission...
