Steed is assigned to meet a courier carrying a sample of a new top-secret liquid rocket fuel at Marseilles airport in France. But before Steed can reach him the courier dies, dropping his drinking flask unnoticed somewhere in the airport. Believing the fuel sample to be in the man's case, Steed breaks into the airport security office to investigate, but is attacked by another agent also on the hunt for the fuel. Mrs. Gale then learns of the existence of the drinking flask, as well as a bottle of hair restorer. At every turn in their search for the rocket fuel, Steed and Mrs Gale run into the enemy, but they are eventually able to secure the sample at a bakery.
