Blake's 7 Cast

As the combined might of Liberator and the Federation fleet battles to repel the oncoming alien invasion, the aliens destroy Star One. Heavy casualties are suffered on both sides; most of the Federation fleet is obliterated, but at last the aliens are beaten. Liberator suffers major system damage, including life-support, forcing the crew to abandon ship using its escape capsules. Avon, together with Orac, lands on the planet Sarran, and is soon attacked by the vicious native Sarrans, but is then rescued by a young girl named Dayna Mellanby. They meet Servalan, whose ship has also crash-landed on the planet. Dayna takes them both to meet her father and her adopted sister Lauren, in their base located under the sea. Here, Avon and Servalan meet Hal Mellanby, a weapons expert who found disfavour with the Federation after supplying arms to the resistance, and who lost his sight during Federation torture. Servalan attempts to seduce Avon in an attempt to coerce him into joining her, but Avon comments that he would be dead as soon as he outlived his usefulness to her. When Servalan tries to steal Orac, she is confronted by Hal; she destroys his sight-device and then taunts and eventually kills him. Avon pursues her so that he can regain Orac, and is accompanied by Dayna, who wants revenge for her father’s murder; they reach the surface, only to find that Lauren has been killed by the natives. They confront Servalan and recover Orac, but just as Dayna is about to kill Servalan, they are teleported back aboard Liberator by Zen, only to find that the ship is now in the hands of a squad of Federation soldiers…
