Blake's 7 Cast

Ensor’s mention of something called ‘Orac’ has intrigued Blake, and so he decides to deliver the power cells to Ensor’s father. But while Liberator is en route to the planet Aristo, Avon, Vila, Gan and Jenna fall ill from radiation sickness, after being exposed to high levels while on the surface of the planet Cephlon, and Blake is forced to hope that Ensor will have medical supplies needed to cure them. Arriving at Aristo, Blake and Cally teleport to the planet surface, unaware that Servalan and Travis have also arrived, and are searching for Ensor as well. While Blake and Cally are led to Ensor’s underwater base by a robotic scout, Servalan and Travis make their way via underground tunnels, and encounter the vicious creatures that live inside them. Blake and Cally meet Ensor, a crotchety old man living the life of a hermit, they give him the power cells for his ailing artificial heart, and in return he gives them the anti-radiation drugs they need. Ensor shows them Orac: a super computer with artificial intelligence, and a personality just as eccentric as its creator, which is able to communicate with any computer in the galaxy without the need for a physical link. Ensor needs the cells implanted immediately, and so Blake and Cally agree to transport him to Liberator, where they can by instructed about the procedure by Orac. However, they are ambushed by Servalan and Travis, and the delay results in Ensor’s death. Blake and Cally are rescued by Avon, and the three escape to the safety of Liberator with Orac. Later, Blake and his crew decide to test out Orac’s capacities: he show’s them a prediction of the near future, and on the viewscreen in front of them, they see Liberator explode…
