Blake's 7 Cast

While aboard the prison ship London, en route to the penal colony Cygnus Alpha, Blake meets computer genius Kerr Avon, convicted of the greatest computer swindle of all time. Blake concocts a plan to use Avon’s computer expertise and Jenna’s piloting skills in order to stage a takeover of the spaceship, but Avon is reticent, not trusting anyone but himself, particularly idealists such as Blake. Avon soon realises that this is his only chance to escape imprisonment, and agrees to override the computer; however, faced with insurrection, captain Raiker threatens to execute the remaining prisoners unless Blake surrenders, and the resistance leader is forced to give himself up. Later, when the crew encounter a huge derelict spacecraft adrift in space, Raiker sends a team across so that they can salvage it. But the investigating crewmen find a defensive mechanism aboard the ship, which drives them insane - leading Raiker to decide to send Blake, Avon and Jenna across instead. The three prisoners are able to override the security system in the ship, and instead seize control of the vessel and escape.
