Blake's 7 Cast

Blake wants to raid the Federation weapons development base, but Orac warns him against such an action, as it the installation is currently on emergency alert. At the base, a technician named Coser, together with a slave girl called Rashel, has escaped after stealing his own new invention - a revolutionary weapon known as Imipak. At Federation headquarters, Servalan and a psycho-strategist named Carnell have employed an alien race known as the Clonemasters to make a duplicate of Blake, as part of a plan to seize control of Imipak. After Travis locates Coser’s location, they programme the duplicate Blake and then journey there; ‘Blake’ then makes contact with Coser, who, just as Carnell predicted, is too insane to question the sudden and unlikely appearance of his hero. Coser gives Imipak to ‘Blake’, and demonstrates the weapon’s capabilities: the victim is ‘marked’ with an initial shot, and then a remote-control device is used to destroy the victim whenever the assassin desires, from any distance. ‘Blake’ hands the weapon over to Servalan, who tests it by killing Coser. The real Blake then arrives, and together with Avon and Gan, they enter the complex, only to be ‘marked’ by Travis using Imipak. However, Rashel manages to gain control of Imipak, and she ‘marks’ Servalan and Travis as well. The cloned Blake breaks his conditioning, and he and Rashel force Servalan and Travis to leave under threat of death, while Carnel, fearing Servalan’s wrath at his failure, decides to desert.
