Holy Ersatz Blighty! In Londinium, Lord Marmaduke Ffogg and his sister, Lady Penelope Peasoup, use a thick fog to help them steal the Queen's collection of snuffboxes from a museum. A baffled Superintendent Watson of Ireland Yard turns to Batman and Robin to help track down the thieves. While the Caped Crusader compares Lord Ffogg's after grass with that of stately Wayne Manor, the Boy Wonder visits the Ffogg Estate, where he learns from Ffogg's daughter, Lady Prudence, that her father and aunt run a school for lady crooks from behind the front of a girl's finishing school. At his hideout, the licentious lord and lady become unimpressed by the snuffboxes, and decide to steal the Crown Jewels from the Tower of Londinium instead. Having packed the Batmobile and Batcomputer into crates and passed them off as Dick Grayson's desk and books, Bruce Wayne and his ward rent a manor house and then set up a second Batcave underneath it; having also travelled to Londinium, Alfred supplies Barbara Gordon with her Batgirl costume. Batman and Robin return to the Ffogg estate, but are soon attacked by the lord’s servants Scudder, Basil, and Digby, all disguised as highwaymen…
