Buffy

A young woman is chased by several men in robes, who then capture her in a graveyard. Meanwhile, having had the previous night off, Buffy is annoyed when Giles berates her for missing weapons training and hand-to-hand combat practise, and orders her to train and patrol that night. Cordelia invites Buffy to a fraternity house party to be held the next night, but thoughts of Angel prompt Buffy to decline the offer. While on patrol that night, Buffy finds a broken bracelet, which Angel says he can smell blood on. The ensuing discussion about their relationship quickly goes nowhere, angering Buffy and causing her to change her mind about going to the party. Elsewhere, a fraternity led by a young man named Tom inducts a new brother, watched by the captured girl who is now chained to the wall. Buffy lies to Giles about going to the party, upsetting Willow and prompting Xander to decide to crash the festivities. At the library, the bracelet leads Willow and Giles to the discovery that a girl, Callie Anderson, has been missing from Kent Prep School for over a week. At the party, Buffy's drink is drugged, and she collapses onto a bed next to the unconscious form of Cordelia. Giles and Willow discover that two other girls went missing a year ago, almost to the very day; they call Angel, and together figure out that something must be going on at the frat house. Willow blurts out that Buffy went to the party, and then feels guilty for betraying her friend. They all set out to help Buffy, who, along with Cordelia and Callie, is now chained to a wall in the basement of the frat house. Tom reveals to them that they are to be offerings to Machida, a reptilian demon. The creature then bursts out of a well in the basement, and greedily surveys its sacrifices. Willow, Giles and Angel encounter a humiliated Xander outside the frat house, and together they rush to the rescue. Buffy manages to pull her chains out of the wall and sets about fighting the brothers, before throttling the snake demon to death with her chains. Reunited with her friends, Buffy finds that her relationship with Angel seems to be smoothing over.
