'Space'

by Steven Moffat
The Doctor, Rory and Amy

Entering the TARDIS console room, Amy is rather put out to find Rory helping the Doctor pilot the ship, as it makes its way through conceptual space. Unfortunately, a combination of the console’s glass floor and Amy wearing a skirt proves too distracting for Rory, and he drops a thermo-coupling into the TARDIS’ systems, sending the ship out of control. To the time-travellers’ surprise, the TARDIS then materialises inside itself, the safest spot for it to land in the emergency. When the Doctor decides to step into this other TARDIS he immediately reappears back at the main door; with a grim face the Time Lord informs his friends that they are stuck for all eternity inside a space loop – no-one can enter or leave the ship ever again. However, just at that moment, a second Amy walks through the main door…
