'The Trickery Lantern' by Richard Carpenter

Catweazle prepares for his long journey back through time. He wants the torch that Carrot has bought Mr. Bennet as a weapon to scare off the Normans but Carrot will not give it up. Following Carrot to the farm, Aunt Flo catches sight of Catweazle and thinks he is the family ghost. Does the family ghost get his new weapon and does his spell work to transport him back through time?
