London, England: a banker named Sir Frederick Howerd is terrified by an apparently invisible man, and by strange sounds that he hears inside his head. Craig receives a tip-off that a Swiss bank is due to receive a consignment of stolen gold worth thirty-million dollars from a bank robbery carried out in England, but when he investigates he finds Sir Frederick to be particularly unhelpful. When the banker is found murdered, Craig follows the trail to Doctor Hallam, but is then captured and taken to Holland. Doctor Hallam has performed some special surgery on Sir Frederick as part of his plan to steal the gold; now, when Craig wakes up by the side of a road, he too hears voices inside his head, which begin giving him orders…
