London, England: After visiting his dentist, Lord Mauncey, ex-minister of state, decides on an impulse to steal the top-secret nuclear disposition F File from a high-security safe; but when he tries to leave with the document, Mauncey is gassed by the defences. Major Duncan of M7 calls on Nemesis for help, and Richard is assigned to break into the vault to test its effectiveness. When he is easily able to breach its security-measures, Richard, Craig and Sharron suspect Duncan of being a traitor - but then they discover that the major and Mauncey both share the same dentist...
