The Doctor

The TARDIS arrives at intergalactic Tollport G715, where the Doctor and Mel win a holiday on Earth as the prize for being the ten billionth customers. They are to travel with Nostalgia Trips, on a spaceship that looks like an old bus. As well as the purple blob-like tourists who have taken on human appearance, the Doctor and Mel meet Delta, a Chimeron Queen who is fleeing from the sadistic Gavrok and his Bannermen mercenaries, who have wiped out her entire race. Heading for Disneyland in the year 1959, the bus collides with a satellite, and crash-lands near Shangri-La, a holiday camp in South Wales. The Doctor and Mel meet Billy, a local mechanic who is attempting to fix the bus, and his girlfriend Ray. Also in Shangri-La are two American secret servicemen, Weismuller and Hawk, who are attempting to recover the satellite. Delta is carrying an egg, which hatches to reveal her green baby; but she is betrayed by one of the holidaymakers, Keillor, who contacts Gavrok with a transmitting device and reports her location. Gavrok and his men arrive at the holiday camp, destroy the bus and massacre the tourists. The Doctor, Mel, and Billy, who has now fallen in love with Delta, team up with Ray, Goronwy, a local beekeeper, and Mr Burton, the manager of Shangri-La. The Doctor uses the bees to attack the Bannermen, and then broadcasts the ultrasonic powers of the now-matured Chimeron princess over Shangri-La 's public address system, rendering them unconscious. Gavrok attempts to booby trap the TARDIS, but is instead destroyed by his own weapon. Billy, who has been ingesting a Chimeron foodstuff in the hope that it will mutate him into one of Delta's people, leaves with her and the princess to repopulate their world. The Doctor and Mel leave the Bannermen in the charge of the others, and leave in the TARDIS.
