'Objects in Space' by Joss Whedon

River’s mental state continues to slip, as she mistakes a loaded gun for a stick and points it at her startled crewmates. Having defused the situation, Mal comments that perhaps the Alliance are pursuing River because she is an assassin. Later, a bounty hunter named Jubal Early boards Serenity undetected and makes his way through the ship, overpowering each of the crew with ease as he searches for River. However, River uses the ship’s intercom to tell Early that she knows he has come for her – and that she has now merged with Serenity in order to deal with him…
