The Goodies

The head Travel Agent of the South African Tourist Office hires the Goodies to help encourage people to visit his country: it seems that no one is interested in immigrating to South Africa, so the official has had to resort to kidnapping people and shipping them back to his home country. Appalled at the Travel Agent’s racism, the Goodies vow to get him some immigrants, whatever their colour – and so they make a cheap publicity film using a blacked-up Tim. Unfortunately, the Travel Agent is furious when he sees the trio’s work – and he gets even angrier when he learns that they have already released the film, which has enticed thousands of black people to go to South Africa. Despatched to South Africa to help, the Goodies are met by the Travel Agent, now demoted to Customs Officer, who informs them that all the black South Africans have now left the country after hearing how nice Britain is to live in. With no-one left to treat as second-class citizens and slaves, the South African government introduces a new form of segregation: ‘Apart-Height’. With his lack of stature, Bill suddenly finds himself victimised by everyone, including Tim and Graeme, and so he decides to rebel and stage an uprising…
