'Paradise Towers' (4 Parts) Story Code '7E' by Stephen Wyatt

When Mel wants to go swimming, the Doctor takes the TARDIS takes to Paradise Towers - a 304-storey luxury building with a fantastic pool. But the Towers have now fallen into a state of disrepair and decay. They discover that the original inhabitants of the complex left to fight in a war, leaving the apartments populated by old people- the cannibalistic Rezzies - and young girls - the Kangs. The Kangs are divided into Blue Kangs and Red Kangs, and roam the corridors engaging themselves in gang wars. The Towers are managed by the Caretakers with the aid of their giant robotic cleaners. While the Caretakers mistake the Doctor for the Great Architect, Mel meets Pex, a young man who has appointed himself the hero of Paradise Towers. Kangs have been mysteriously disappearing, and Mel and the Doctor discover that the robotic cleaners are responsible. Pex is revealed to be nothing but a coward, who hid rather than leave to fight in the war. The Doctor discovers that Kroagnon, the great architect who designed the Towers, is controlling the cleaning machines; Kraognon's brain was buried in the basement when he went insane and attempted to stop people living inside his creation. Kroagnon possesses the body of the Chief Caretaker, and proceeds to kill all the humans living inside Paradise Towers. The Doctor convinces the Kangs, Rezzies and Caretakers to join forces in order to survive. The Deputy Caretaker tells the Doctor of a storeroom containing explosives used by the cleaners; the Time Lord lures Kroagnon out of the Caretaker headquarters, planning to lead him into a trap. At the last minute, Pax redeems himself by seizing Kroagnon and hurling them both inside the storeroom, where they perish in the resulting explosion. The Doctor and Mel leave the residents of the Towers to build their new life.
