The Doctor

After the Doctor has been injured in his recent battle with the Daleks, the TARDIS materialises in a hostile jungle on the planet Spiridon. Jo sets out to find help for the Doctor, who has now fallen into a coma. She contracts a fungus infection from one of the planet's deadly plants, and then meets a group of Thals from the planet Skaro. While Jo hides aboard the Thals' crashed spaceship, they go to the Doctor's aid. The Doctor, now recovered due to his self-regenerative powers, learns of the Thals' suicide mission to destroy a Dalek outpost on the planet. The Daleks are here to discover the native Spiridons' secret of invisibility. Another Thal spaceship crash lands in the jungle, and the survivors bring news of that somewhere on the planet is an army of 10,000 Daleks. Jo encounters a friendly Spiridon named Wester, who cures the deadly fungus disease that she has contracted. The Daleks army is frozen in suspended animation in a huge cavern below their base. The Doctor and the Thals explode a bomb in the ice-cavern wall, causing one of the planet's ice-volcanoes to erupt, entombing the Dalek army in a huge wave of liquid ice, completely re-freezing them. The Thals steal the Dalek Supreme's spaceship, stranded him and his aides on Spiridon, as the Doctor and Jo leave in the TARDIS.
