Number 6

When Dutton, a former colleague of Number 6, is brought to the Village, Number 2 and a doctor involve him in a plan to make Number 6 reveal the reason for his resignation. Number 6 finds himself invited the town hall to take part in the Village Carnival, which turns out to be a particularly surreal occasion. He then defies the curfew and goes to the beach, where he discovers that the body of a dead man has been washed up on the shore - and it now seems that Number 6 will also be declared dead very shortly…
