The Sarah Jane Adventures - Cast

With just seconds left before Mr Smith’s self-destruct protocols will cause him to blow up, Luke manages to convince the Xylok that ‘Sarah’s command contradicts his prime purpose to defend and protect the Earth – a logical argument that allows the computer to override his orders and abort his imminent destruction in the nick of time. At Genetec, ‘Sarah’ inserts a memory stick into the company’s computer system and then forces Mr Yorke to transfer command of the nanoforms – Androvax plans to use the microscopic robots to build himself a spaceship... Back at the attic, Mr Smith informs Luke, Clyde, Rani and Captain Tybo that ‘Sarah’ used him to access the computer records of ‘Project Dreamland’, the military investigation into the alien spaceship that crashed in New Mexico in 1947; the gang quickly deduce that Androvax is going to use the schematics of the alien vessel to provide himself with a means of escape. Back at Genetec, alarms blare out and ‘Sarah’ watches with evil glee as the nanoforms multiply at an incredible rate, bursting out from their containment cell in a terrifying swarm. Mr Yorke is horrified, knowing that if left unchecked, the unstoppable robots could overtake and destroy the entire planet – but Androvax just laughs, as the annihilation of the Earth will serve to cover his tracks. Hearing the alarms, the security man questioning Gita and Haresh rushes to investigate why the building has gone into shutdown; Haresh is frustrated at being locked in, until Gita shows him the keys that the man has left behind. Detecting the nanoforms’ overload, Tybo, Luke, Clyde, Rani drive off to Genetec; pulling up in the car park the gang see the nanobots swarming on the top of the building – the robots’ work on the spaceship is taking place at an incredible rate. With only ten minutes until the Judoon recovery squad will arrive, Luke is concerned, knowing that the heavy-handed policemen will see his mother’s life as irrelevant, and will kill her in order to destroy Androvax. Having ensured Rani and Clyde have paid the car park ticket, Tybo leads them to the main door, only to find it locked; however, Mr Yorke has seen their arrival on CCTV and he overrides the lockdown, opening the main door to allow the gang access. Seeing the arrival of his pursuers, Androvax is furious, and he puts the executive into a trance. While searching for the laboratories Luke, Clyde, Rani and Tybo are confronted by three security guards – who promptly run off in terror when they see the rhino-faced, gun-wielding alien. Rani is shocked to see her parents also roaming the corridors, and she makes sure that they don’t see her and her companions for fear of frightening them. But it doesn’t matter, as four Judoon promptly teleport in behind the two adults, scaring them witless! With his ship almost completed, Androvax comes under attack from within, as Sarah’s personality tries to reassert itself. When Tybo receives a comms call from his newly-arrived fellows, Luke, Clyde, Rani know that they need to find a way to slow down the Judoons’ progress; they trick Tybo into stepping inside an electro-dampening chamber and then lock the enraged policeman inside. Finally arriving in the main laboratory, Luke demands that Androvax release Sarah from his control, but the body-snatching Veil flatly refuses, stunning Luke into a trance and then using Sarah’s sonic lipstick to send millions of hungry nanforms swarming after Clyde and Rani. Fleeing for their lives, the two kids rush through the building, avoiding the squad of Judoon in their flight before locking themselves inside a laboratory. As the ravenous robots begin eating their way through the door, Clyde and Rani grab two fire extinguishers from the wall and freeze the nanforms with sub-zero blasts. Reviving Luke, ‘Sarah’ takes the boy to the roof, where the completed spaceship now waits; as Androvax prepares the ship for launch, Luke is encouraged to see that Sarah’s strong will is fighting to take back control of her body. Meanwhile, the Judoon squad locates their imprisoned comrade and release him from inside the chamber; when Clyde and Rani arrive on the scene the police officers prepare to exact lethal justice on the two kids for their actions – but then the building suddenly starts to shake: the nanoforms are attacking! Back at the ship, Androvax finalises his launch preparations, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Clyde and Rani, who have escaped the Judoon in the confusion; with the Veil distracted, Luke seizes the opportunity to grab the vessel’s ionic fusion device, offering to return it only if Androvax releases Sarah. The Veil agrees and emerges from inside Sarah’s body – and is immediately confronted by the timely arrival of the Judoon, who arrest him at gunpoint. With the nanoforms’ assault increasing in fury, Luke vows to show Androvax that the purpose of the universe is not destruction but survival: by using the ship’s controls to send a deactivation signal, Luke renders the attacking robots completely harmless. Tybo is most satisfied, and decides to commute Luke, Rani and Clyde’s death sentence in favour of confining them to Earth instead. After informing Sarah and the gang that they will confiscate the newly constructed ship, the Judoon leave to take their prisoner back to the Shadow Proclamation. As Gita, Haresh and a revived Mr Yorke look on in amazement, the alien policemen stomp out of the building and then fly off in their vessel. Returning home to Number 13, Bannerman Road, Sarah, Luke, Rani and Clyde are soon joined by an overexcited Gita and Haresh, who tell them all about their wild adventure with aliens…
