The Doctor

Returning to UNIT headquarters, the TARDIS is invaded by an alien presence. The Doctor is forced to land the ship at the site of the HQ, but in the year 1911, when a priory was situated there. The priory is owned Egyptologist Marcus Scarman, who recently opened a pyramid in Egypt, which was in fact the prison of Sutekh, a member of the Osirians, a race of god-like beings. Sutekh's plans for universal destruction were stopped when his fellow Osirians, led by his brother Horus, imprisoned him. He has laid prisoner for centuries inside the pyramid, held by a signal transmitted from another pyramid on Mars. Sutekh desires his freedom, and has possessed Scarman in order to construct servicer robots, which look like Egyptian mummies, so that they can build a missile, with which to destroy the Martian pyramid that contains the Eye of Horus, the key to the prison. The Doctor and Sarah meet Doctor Warlock, a colleague of Marcus's, and together they foil Sutekh's plan by blowing up the missile. But the Doctor falls under Sutekh's control, and is made to transport Scarman and his robots to Mars in the TARDIS. Scarman destroys the Eye of Horus, but the Doctor, know freed of Sutekh's influence, realises that there will be a short delay before the Osirian is released, due to the time it takes radio waves to travel the distance from Mars to Earth. He and Sarah rush back to Earth in the TARDIS, where the Doctor uses the time control from his ship to move the end of the space / time tunnel that links the priory to the Sutekh's prison into the far future. Sutekh, who is now travelling along the tunnel, is unable to reach the end in his lifetime, and dies. The tunnel explodes, and the Doctor and Sarah leave as the priory burns down.
