'The Rescue' (2 Parts) Story Code 'L' by Dennis Spooner

The TARDIS arrives on the planet Dido in the late 25th century. The Doctor and his companions find a crashed spaceship from Earth, and its two occupants, the paralysed Bennet, and a young girl named Vicki. Bennet tells the time travellers that the planet's inhabitants murdered the crew, and they are now living at the mercy of a creature called Koquillion, who is protecting them from the wrath of his people. However, the Doctor deduces that Koquillion is in fact Bennet in disguise, and that it was he that killed the others, in order to hide the fact that he had previous committed a murder on the ship. Confronted by two surviving Didonians, Bennet falls to his death from a high rock face. With nowhere to go, Vicki is invited to join the TARDIS crew.
