Ian and Randi

The Mathesons are excited to learn that the circus is in town, and when they hear that Randi has never been to the Big Top, they plan an immediate visit. However, when they arrive at the Wakefield Circus, they are disappointed find that all the acts - the juggler, knife-thrower, fire-eater, snake-charmer, even ‘Mr Electro’ - are utterly boring – all except the high-wire act of the beautiful Selina…When Randi meets the charismatic ringmaster, Caleb Wakefield, she finds herself strangely attracted to him; at his behest, she returns to the circus later that night for a special performance of the troop, held just for her. Much to Ian’s dismay, Randi begins to fall for Caleb, and she soon starts dating him. To Randi’s surprise, she discovers that Caleb has an influence over her lycanthropy, as he stops her from transforming into a werewolf during the next full moon. Randi is overjoyed, but the jealous Ian suspects that Caleb has an ulterior motive; Ian is soon proved right: Caleb is servant to a demon, and his circus is populated by stolen souls – and his next victim is to be Randi. Ian races to warn his friend, only to learn that she has just run away with Caleb and his circus…
