Ian and Randi

Randi’s surprise breakfast for Ian is spoiled by the arrival of a psychotic, gun-wielding woman named Diane, who demands the whereabouts of her long-lost brother, Derek. Realising that their advert for a cure to lycanthropy is similar to the one that Derek answered before he disappeared three years ago, Ian and Randi offer to help Diane, and it isn’t long before they arrive at the Marble Hill Institute. After Ian has had his patient, ‘Agnes’, admitted for delusions of being a werewolf, he attempts to question the sanatorium’s administrator, Doctor Hatchard; when that doesn’t work out, Ian takes the admissions assistant, Miss Stone, to the local pub, but unfortunately, halfway through pumping her for information he is interrupted by the arrival of Diane and her gun, and forced to explain her away as his wife. Meanwhile, Randi is left to fend for herself on a mental ward filled with violent and delusional patients; forced to endure a night of terror, she hears screaming from the corridor outside and sees two orderlies frog-marching a patient to the office of Doctor Hatchard; deciding to follow them, she watches in horror as the doctor proceeds to inject the hapless inmate with a serum made of Derek’s blood: the patient starts to turn into a werewolf, only to explode mid- transformation into a gory mess. The next day, a furious Randi berates Ian for leaving her alone overnight. After humouring her, Ian leaves Randi once more to resume his investigations, but again he is hampered by his trigger-happy ‘wife’; together they do manage to find Doctor Hatchard’s laboratory, and a caged wolf that Diane believes is her brother, but are then thrown out by the orderlies. Meanwhile, Randi learns that she is the next patient to receive Doctor Hatchard’s treatments; in a bid to escape she hides in the doctor’s laboratory, where she finds a caged human, Derek. However, when Randi turns on a nearby ‘lunalight’, its special rays cause her and Derek to transform into werewolves – right in front of an overjoyed Doctor Hatchard…
