'New World' by Martin Worth

The Whitecross community sight a balloon passing overhead; but it crash lands, killing the Norwegian pilot and leaving his daughter Agnes lost in the woods. She is eventually found by Hubert and brought to the community, where she tells the settlers of her father’s plans of contact and trade with mainland Europe. Greg and Charles become determined to make the most of the opportunity presented to them; however, Jenny becomes concerned at the likelihood of Greg leaving them...
