Professor Borrender has invented a way to turn water into rocket fuel; but when the scientist mysteriously disappears while aboard a monotrain, Sir Jeremy Hodge calls in Lady Penelope to help find his friend. Together they retrace the missing scientist's steps to Paris, but their every move is fraught with danger and an attempt is made on their life. Evading death, Hodge and Penelope board the monorail and head for Germany, but are then kidnapped by the evil Doctor Godber, and held captive n his base in the Anderbäd Monorail Tunnel. Determined to make Borrender reveal his secrets, Godber ties Penelope to the rail track -right in the path of an oncoming train!
