John takes a break from <I>Thunderbird 5</I> to accompany Lady Penelope to a charity auction; together with Parker and Sherbet they take <I>FAB 1</I> to a huge, icicle-shaped château suspended above a crevasse in the Alps. Meanwhile, Gordon and Alan stand in for John, but encounter problems getting aboard <I>Thunderbird 5</I> thanks to an unhelpfully playful EOS. As Penelope begins the auction at the celebrity-studded party, Parker and Sherbet notice some of the staff acting suspiciously; checking the kitchen they find the real staff tied up, then lose a fight to the imposters. The auction is interrupted when one of the guests unmasks himself as the Hood; after his minions take everyone hostage, the villain threatens to cut the thick cables holding up the château, then “digitally picks the pockets” of the guests using a fingerprint-reading tablet device. One of the guests tries to stop the Hood, but only succeeds in making him drop the tablet – which accidentally activates the laser wire-cutters. With only minutes before the chateau plummets into the chasm below, the Hood and his gang depart using glider suits, leaving everyone else behind to die…
