|'A Question of Priorities'
by Tony Barwick
Commander Straker enjoys a day out with his son John at the Harlington-Straker film studios. But when he returns the young boy to his ex- wife Mary, he gets into an argument with her and is forced to leave before saying goodbye to John. The boy runs after him but is knocked down by a passing car and suffers critical injuries. Learning that the drug that can save his son’s life is in New York, Straker assigns a S.H.A.D.O. Transporter to retrieve it. Meanwhile, a U.F.O pursues another alien craft into the Earth’s atmosphere, leading Straker to face the toughest decision of his life when he realises that the Transporter is in the prime position to track an alien defector - but which will he choose: his son, or the safety of humanity?
