|'The Responsibility Seat'
by Tony Barwick
Straker, in his film producer role, gives an interview to journalist Jo Fraser. He sees her to her car, but Miss Fraser then returns to his office to retrieve the tape recorder she left behind. She checks the recording, and hears the voice of Lt. Ford calling for ‘Commander Straker’ on the intercom. When Straker discovers that Miss Fraser is not from the press, he sets out to recover the tape, leaving Freeman in command of S.H.A.D.O. headquarters. Freeman soon finds out what it is like to be in the hot seat when three U.F.O.s approach the moon, and a Russian mobile rig goes out of control and heads on a collision course with Moonbase...
