When G.S.P. 4 reports a U.F.O. heading for Earth, S.H.A.D.O. tracks it to a wood in southern England, near to the estate of international show-jumper Russell Stone. When Stone goes missing, his father and his sister Anne suspect that a tramp named Culley may be responsible, as Stone had previously thrown him off the estate when he caught the vagrant trespassing. Meanwhile however, Foster has found the mutilated corpses of Culley and his dog, and discovered that there is no sign of animal life in the vicinity of a nearby lake. It seems that the U.F.O. has taken refuge under the water, and that Stone has been abducted by the aliens…
